| Comment | This mask was created based on a copy of "Waka-Onna" and inspired by the image of the celestial maiden in the Noh play "Hagoromo." In the Noh play, a fisherman finds the feather robe in Miho-no-Matsubara and refuses to return it to the celestial maiden. However, when the celestial maiden laments that she cannot return to heaven without it, the fisherman returns the robe and the celestial maiden begins to dance. |
